Admissions Procedure
Parental admissions requests can be made by contacting our Head Office on 0845 0742972 in the first instance. You are welcome to call our Parent Liaison Team - all experienced parents of children with autism themselves - who will be happy to talk to you about your individual situation and all aspects of the admissions process.
You will also be offered an appointment to join the next Open Day or if necessary, a meeting with the Head teacher at the School.
Talking to your Local Authority
If parents express a preference for Eagle House School (Sutton) they should then approach their Local Authority SEN department. Once the Local Authority agrees that our School can meet the young person's needs (through an assessment), then the Local Authority will contact Eagle House School (Sutton) and request a place.
The Head teacher, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, will consider the Local Authority's request for a place and may make an offer of a place to the Local Authority. An offer of a place depends on the young person having a Statement of Special Educational Needs which specifies that the young person's main barrier to learning is an autistic spectrum disorder - often with an associated social and communication difficulty.
